Since my brother had a day off during the week and their original plans to go to Disney were canceled they asked me if instead we could go to the beach and take some family photos of them, to which I agreed. The weather was nice although a bit sunny for my taste, but we manage to find quite a few beautiful places with shade and they even dared to go into slippery and hard to get places just to get a good shot, they were all good sports.

My little nephew was funny I had to hold his burger and get his attention by telling him the birds were going to eat it off my hand and each time he would look my side, serious look but he looked he loves his burger. I still have lots of photos to process but they’ll just have to wait until I finish all other client photos.

I attended my nephew’s first communion, I managed to go without my little one since he was home napping and had a little cold. He stayed behind with daddy, while my oldest and I went to this event. My big boy was so good at church, he sat on my lap quietly and asked a few questions quietly about the scenes on the windows.

Once the mass was done we headed to the park that was across the street, there were tables and benches very nicely decorated. Every one looked amazingly dressed, and the food was excellent as always. My cousin and aunt always seem to have the best exotic dishes, I would love to cook like them some day The kids immediately started playing with the activities specially the jumper, and I was free to go around and take lots and lots of pictures of this event, it was nice to not have to chase after my little one.

This little guy came to visit his grandma for a few days and she wanted to get some pictures of him at the beach since he lives with his parents in Arizona where there is no ocean. We met up at la Jolla Cove since it seems to be the only beach with some shade, it was another beautiful day in sunny San Diego. The little guy played in the sand along some toys that his grandma got for him, he was a little hesitant when the waves, he seemed to have a good time and smile for the camera when requested.

A few minutes later his aunt and cousin came by and got in the fun too, I managed to get quite a few cute moments with them too, and of course some with all as well, aren’t they lovely. Big cousin was so gently and loving, and baby girl was cute as a button too. Hope their parents will like the pictures of his little one from his trip to San Diego.

I don’t seem to have the opportunity to photograph my sister in law and my niece and nephew, i don’t know why that may be, but I am glad that finally we got the chance to do so. I have been tempted to switch to a Nikon, since I hear lots of photographers using that brand, and I figure maybe I wa missing something and I should be doing the same. But before I made the big investment I obviously had to try the camera, luckily for me my father in law had a nice D300 which he allowed me to test out.

I must say that even though it does seem like a nice camera I did not find many advantages over the Canon. The biggest thing for me is that I already know how to use my Canon, not only that but all the lenses, flash and what not I already have for a canon so it will be too much of a change for me. If I had seen a huge difference in photo quality maybe I would have really thought about making the big jump, but I did not see that so I decided to stick with my Canon 40D for the time being. I may do an upgrade maybe the 5D mark II some day

It was nice to be hired again from a previous client, this family was really nice and allowed me to capture such a special event in their lives. Their grandparents had an anniversary and so did the parents.

It was such a pleasure working for this couple, they both were very easy going and pleasant and it did not hurt that she is beautiful which made it easier on me. I took the oportunity this time to use so of their furniture pieces as backgrounds and props which made the pictures have some tradition in them they were beautiful pieces and it was nice to be able to corporate them.

I also photographed a few beautiful pieces that the new mom to be made for her little girl using the crochet technique when she had just learned a few weeks prior, which was pretty amazing.

Poor little baby she and her daddy had a cold and were not feeling 100% but despite that they were in great spirits, little Jordin was very sweet and cute. They are such a beautiful family both inside and out and it was a pleasure being able to take their family photos.

This was a change for me, I am so used to running after little kids while taking pictures of them. This time there were no little kids to chase after, the session even took less time and we manage to get to quite a few different areas within Balboa Park. Our friends wanted an updated family photo and they asked me to do that for them, I hope they are pleased with the results, and I am happy their thought about me.

My friend had her baby and before more time went by I thought I capture that newborn stage before it went by. Due to sicknesses and other I wasn’t able to go within the 12 day frame. He was 2 weeks and 5 days when we did this session, poor little guy he was so tired but just couldn’t stay asleep for long and was somewhat uncomfortable. As soon as his daddy held him though he was happy as can be Congratulations to the Posada’s family for the newest member!
